David Riggs formed the band in 2000; but got outvoted naming it. "One day Jim blurted out 'Riggity Jig.' At first I didn't want to go with that name because I didn't want it to be about me. But after some market testing the name was getting good feedback, so we went with it."
Good thing, too, Riggs wanted to call the group "Burnt Haggis."
After the band's first singer left, his daughter, Rebecca, asked to audition. Not only did she get the gig, she got center stage.
"It never hurts to have a cute kid front the band," Riggs admits.
